A Week on the Rollercoaster

Blog #10

This week has been… an experience. Some might call it a rollercoaster, and I wouldn’t disagree. There have been moments of clarity and purpose, and others of uncertainty and exhaustion. Progress and pause. Joy and challenge. Sometimes all within the same day.

That’s the nature of leadership, and life. It rarely moves in straight lines.

At work, there were decisions that needed to be made quickly, and others that required more patience than I thought I had. In life, there were moments that pulled me inward, reminders of the unpredictability we all carry just below the surface of our public roles.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, I was reminded of something simple: leadership isn’t about avoiding the ups and downs, it’s about learning to ride them with integrity. To stay present. To stay grounded. To stay kind, to yourself and to others.

So this week’s reflection is less about resolution, and more about honesty:

What do we do with the weeks that don’t fit neatly into categories of “good” or “bad”?

We acknowledge them. We learn from them, and we keep going, wiser, more aware, and maybe even a little more human.
